Concrete and form materials.
Choose the actual material and supply form. Each sheet identifies what to measure, which product data to collect and a purchase assumption to check.
Bagged concrete mix
Start with the net prepared concrete volume; deduct known voids before converting to bags.
Prepare this material →Ready-mixed concrete deliveries
Combine measured components without counting intersecting volumes twice.
Prepare this material →Formwork sheet stock
List each complete panel blank and distinguish its cutting size from the surface touching concrete.
Prepare this material →Formwork edge boards
Measure each separate edge run and the board face that will contact the pour.
Prepare this material →Reinforcement bar stock
Transcribe the lengths and counts from the supplied reinforcement schedule.
Prepare this material →Welded mesh sheets
Measure the supplied coverage rectangle and keep each specified lap separate from gross sheet size.
Prepare this material →Pour separation sheeting
Measure the supplied footprint and list the required strip direction and seam allowance.
Prepare this material →Reusable form panels
Record the required panel population for each planned pour stage.
Prepare this material →How these quantities differ
| Material | Selected product data | Ordering mistake to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Bagged concrete mix | Prepared mixed yield per bag, available package sizes and your quoted bag prices. | Dry bag mass is not prepared volume. Two equally heavy bags need not have equal yield. |
| Ready-mixed concrete deliveries | Quoted delivery volume, usable load size, minimum order and separate delivery charges. | Truck count and concrete volume are different outputs; a partly filled final load is still a delivery. |
| Formwork sheet stock | Usable sheet width and length, reserved cut gap and an explicitly planned reuse schedule. | Net contact area does not tell you how many full sheets can fit all required blanks. |
| Formwork edge boards | Actual board height, usable stock lengths and supplied cutting allowances. | A shared edge is not two independent boards, while corners may consume additional cutting length. |
| Reinforcement bar stock | Stock lengths, specified laps and cut allowances already established by the design. | Counting intersections or area alone does not produce a bar cutting schedule. |
| Welded mesh sheets | Full sheet dimensions and the lap distances from the supplied plan. | Gross sheet area overstates coverage when sheets overlap. |
| Pour separation sheeting | Roll width, roll length and already specified overlap dimensions. | Summing nominal roll area overlooks the repeated width lost at seams. |
| Reusable form panels | Panel dimensions, scheduled availability and the permitted reuse count you supply. | Adding every stage overstates an order when available panels are intentionally reused. |
