Before you start.
What do I need for a useful estimate?
Your measurements, the product’s coverage or yield, and its pack size. Use specifications already chosen for your project. Prices are optional and come from your own quote.
Why can the purchase quantity be higher than the measured quantity?
Your allowance adds to the measured requirement. A tool that orders whole packs then rounds up to the next pack. The breakdown keeps those quantities separate so you can check the difference.
Can I save a project and download the results for free?
Yes. Calculations, material projects, purchase tracking and exports are free. Projects can be saved free in this browser; keep a downloaded backup. Cloud accounts are coming later at a planned USD $9/month; join the waitlist from Your projects. Existing cloud projects remain accessible.
Does Metandum choose my construction specifications?
Dimensions, depths, spacing and product properties come from your own plan. Metandum calculates quantities and purchase estimates; it does not choose structural designs or confirm building-code compliance. Read the calculation scope.
