Privacy and cookie choices
Updated 7 October 2026.
Browser projects and necessary storage
Saved calculations, material projects and your privacy preferences stay in this browser unless you explicitly use a server storage option. Clearing browser data can remove them. Export a backup before switching devices or domains. The consent choice expires after 180 days or when its policy version changes.
Cloudflare hosting and country detection
Cloudflare hosts Metandum and processes network requests to deliver and protect the site. Our first-party privacy endpoint uses Cloudflare’s country information to select the privacy experience. It does not store your IP address or send it to an external geolocation service. Country detection is approximate; if it is unavailable, optional tracking requires your choice.
Optional analytics and advertising
Metandum uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and usage when analytics is permitted by your privacy choices and regional settings. No advertising tags are currently installed. The cookie settings let you choose analytics, advertising storage, advertising data and personalization separately. Necessary functionality remains available when you reject optional categories. Global Privacy Control disables optional tracking. Where opt-in is required, Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics. Advertising remains off by default. Analytics page views omit URL query parameters and fragments.
Server storage and the account waitlist
Existing guest server projects are associated with a private browser cookie. Cloud account registration is not available yet. If you join the launch waitlist, we store the email and notification consent you submit, the planned price and submission time in the Metandum database. Do not enter sensitive information in project names or notes.
Change your choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Withdrawing analytics permission removes recognized analytics cookies and reloads the page when an analytics script has been loaded.
