Make bagged and bulk concrete quotes comparable.
Are both quote totals pricing the same work and quantity?
Use the matching calculator
Use this decision sequence
- Use one required prepared volume and confirm product equivalence separately.
- Round bag purchases by the actual prepared yield of the selected bag.
- Price bulk supply by its quoted minimum and volume increments.
- Add only your quoted delivery, fees and explicitly entered mixing labor to the corresponding option.
Keep the quantities distinct
| Quantity or assumption | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Bag merchandise | Whole bags times bag price. |
| Bulk merchandise | Supplier billable volume, which can exceed the requirement. |
| Labor | An entered scope item; an absent value is not evidence that labor is free. |
Worked comparison
For an illustrative 1 m³ need, bags yielding 0.025 m³ require 40 bags. At $5 each, $10 delivery and $40 entered mixing labor, their total is $250. A bulk quote billing 1.5 m³ at $100/m³, with $30 delivery and $5 fees, totals $185. These are supplied scenario prices, not current market rates.
Check before using the estimate
A lower entered quote does not establish equivalent material, delivery feasibility or an appropriate construction method.
All dimensions, product properties, prices and specifications in this example are illustrative arithmetic inputs. Use the values from your measured plan, selected product data sheet and supplier quote. This guide does not choose construction specifications or certify safety.
