COMPARE THE SUPPLIED SCENARIOS

A box volume ratio does not prove cartons fit a storage space.

Can all three carton dimensions be placed within the supplied internal space?

Use the matching calculator

Use this decision sequence

  1. Use usable internal storage dimensions rather than an external envelope.
  2. Use actual carton dimensions and the stated allowed uniform orientations.
  3. Count full positions in each dimension for every permitted orientation.
  4. Keep empty geometric space separate from any certified load or stacking limit.

Keep the quantities distinct

Quantity or assumptionHow to use it
Volume ratioA continuous upper comparison, not an arrangement.
Integer positionsWhole cartons along each dimension.
Safe stackingA separate product and handling constraint not established by fit.

Worked comparison

An illustrative 1×1×1 m space has 1 m³ volume. Cartons 0.6×0.6×0.6 m each occupy 0.216 m³, so a volume ratio suggests four. But only one position fits along each dimension in any uniform orientation, giving one carton. Unused volume is not automatically accessible as space for another equal carton.

Check before using the estimate

Geometric fit does not certify pallet, floor, storage or safe handling capacity.

All dimensions, product properties, prices and specifications in this example are illustrative arithmetic inputs. Use the values from your measured plan, selected product data sheet and supplier quote. This guide does not choose construction specifications or certify safety.
