Filter a batch’s stated use date before counting stock as available.
Can the full stock total cover a phase if some batches are not eligible on its use date?
Use the matching calculator
Use this decision sequence
- Use one compatible product and quantity basis for all batches.
- Enter each batch’s supplied last eligible use day.
- Remove batches ending before the planned phase use day.
- Allocate eligible stock by earliest expiry and report the remaining shortage separately.
Keep the quantities distinct
| Quantity or assumption | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Total recorded stock | Can include batches outside their stated use date. |
| Eligible stock | Meets the entered date rule, subject to actual condition. |
| Expiry-day stock | Included under this explicit arithmetic model. |
Worked comparison
An illustrative phase on day 5 requires 10 compatible units. Eight units have last eligible day 4 and six units last eligible day 10. Recorded total is 14, but only six are eligible for the stated phase; shortage is four. The excluded eight are not certified unusable by arithmetic—their actual product instruction and storage record control that determination.
