MEASUREMENTS AND PURCHASE DECISIONS

Understand partial concrete load billing.

Why can billed volume exceed the physical volume in the final truck?

Use the matching calculator

Use this decision sequence

  1. Start with the already allowed order volume.
  2. Read the supplier’s maximum load capacity and minimum billed volume.
  3. Split the order into full loads and one final physical remainder.
  4. Apply the quoted minimum only to billing and show load fees separately.

Keep the quantities distinct

Quantity or assumptionHow to use it
Physical volumeThe quantity actually ordered.
Minimum billed volumeA quote assumption that may exceed the final physical remainder.
Load capacityA dispatch limit supplied by the seller.

Worked comparison

A 13 m³ order split into 6 m³ loads produces physical loads of 6, 6 and 1 m³. With a 3 m³ billing minimum, the final 1 m³ is billed as 3, making 15 m³ billed in total. At $100/m³ plus $50 per load, the quote is $1,650.

Check before using the estimate

Do not increase geometric slab volume to disguise a minimum-billing surcharge.

All dimensions, product properties, prices and specifications in this example are illustrative arithmetic inputs. Use the values from your measured plan, selected product data sheet and supplier quote. This guide does not choose construction specifications or certify safety.
