Fixed film orientation versus permitted rotation.
Roll width and complete rows determine usable blanks; pooled square metres cannot establish that a pane fits.
Calculate two independent purchase scenarios
Prefilled values are illustrative. Replace measurements and product data on both sides. Quantities with different units or different products cannot be combined. Open a result in its calculator to save it to your material project.
A worked purchase comparison
Eight 0.8 × 1.1 m blanks on a 1.2 × 4 m roll fit three per roll in the fixed orientation: three rolls. If the chosen film permits rotation, 1.1 × 0.8 m blanks fit five per roll: two rolls. Both examples exclude extra trim.
Use your measurements and selected products
Record film roll width and length, directional restrictions, gasket roll length and specified flashing allowances.
Whole Pane Window Film Roll Fit Calculator
Fit identical whole-pane film blanks in a roll, preserving trim allowance and permitted film orientation.
Glazing Gasket Perimeter Loop Order Calculator
Keep separate opening perimeters intact when cutting gasket rolls, or pool length only under your permitted joint plan.
Window Opening Flashing Strip Cut Order Calculator
Order continuous sill, jamb and head tape strips from supplied opening measurements and detail extensions.
Window Reveal Coating Quantity Calculator
Measure the jamb, head and optionally sill returns separately from wall faces and convert them to coating containers.
What makes the comparison valid?
Rotation must be permitted by the product. Film suitability for a particular glazing assembly is outside this calculation.
Illustrative quantities above are not market prices or construction recommendations. Compare actual permitted scenarios independently and keep alternative orders separate.
