How to measure and order: packing blanks, wrap and protection consumables.
Which measurements and product data prevent quantity mistakes for this job?
Use the matching calculator
Use this decision sequence
- Measure inside container dimensions, occupied volume, complete tape paths and specified corner cuts. Keep continuous pieces distinct from total metres.
- Enter selected tape or film roll lengths, stock sheet dimensions, supplier pack sizes and your measured in-place fill density. No protective performance is promised.
- Run each matching calculation and keep different products as separate purchase items.
- Check whole packs, stock remnants and delivery rounding before placing an order.
Keep the quantities distinct
| Quantity or assumption | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Measured need | Measure inside container dimensions, occupied volume, complete tape paths and specified corner cuts. Keep continuous pieces distinct from total metres. |
| Product basis | Enter selected tape or film roll lengths, stock sheet dimensions, supplier pack sizes and your measured in-place fill density. No protective performance is promised. |
| Purchase rounding | Whole packs, rolls and stock lengths can exceed the exact material need. |
Worked comparison
For a supplied 1 × 1 m load, perimeter is 4 m. A 1 m rise at supplied 0.5 m pitch gives a spiral path of 2 × sqrt(4² + 0.5²), approximately 8.06 m. Two such continuous wraps need two 10 m rolls; both fit one 20 m roll. No stretch or tension adjustment is inferred.
Check before using the estimate
These are supplied geometric paths and product quantities. They do not determine restraint, package strength, load safety or transport protection.
All dimensions, product properties, prices and specifications in this example are illustrative arithmetic inputs. Use the values from your measured plan, selected product data sheet and supplier quote. This guide does not choose construction specifications or certify safety.
Sources and product references
References support the stated product-data distinction. All worked examples are independent illustrative arithmetic.
