MEASUREMENTS AND PURCHASE DECISIONS
Order paver types from a complete pattern module.
Why must a multi-size paving pattern be ordered as compatible modules?
Use the matching calculator
Use this decision sequence
- Read the covered area of one complete supplied module, including its specified joints.
- List the number of units of every type in one module.
- Round total required modules, with your explicit module allowance.
- Multiply each unit type by the final module count and order borders separately.
Keep the quantities distinct
| Quantity or assumption | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Complete module | Contains all specified unit types. |
| Area per unit type | Cannot independently recreate a multi-size pattern. |
| Border | A separate layout and purchase line. |
Worked comparison
A 20 m² plan uses a supplied 2 m² module with 4 small and 2 large pavers. A 10% allowance gives 11 modules: 44 small and 22 large units.
Check before using the estimate
Changing a module ratio changes the pattern and cannot be treated as a generic waste adjustment.
