How to measure and order: tablecloth, pillow and cushion cut orders.
Which measurements and product data prevent quantity mistakes for this job?
Use the matching calculator
Use this decision sequence
- Measure the chosen finished face or seam centreline. Add the supplied drop, hem, overlap, back panel pattern and zipper tails before stock allocation.
- Use the selected fabric or foam width and length, permitted rotation and explicit cutting gaps. Do not assume matching, shrinkage or fire suitability.
- Run each matching calculation and keep different products as separate purchase items.
- Check whole packs, stock remnants and delivery rounding before placing an order.
Keep the quantities distinct
| Quantity or assumption | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Measured need | Measure the chosen finished face or seam centreline. Add the supplied drop, hem, overlap, back panel pattern and zipper tails before stock allocation. |
| Product basis | Use the selected fabric or foam width and length, permitted rotation and explicit cutting gaps. Do not assume matching, shrinkage or fire suitability. |
| Purchase rounding | Whole packs, rolls and stock lengths can exceed the exact material need. |
Worked comparison
A 0.8 m circular top with supplied 0.1 m drop and 0.05 m hem extension needs a 1.1 × 1.1 m source blank. Two blanks require two 1.5 × 1.5 m stock pieces. Both fit one 2.4 × 1.5 m piece in the fixed orientation. Circular offcuts are not reused in this calculation.
Check before using the estimate
Whole rectangular blank allocation is feasible, not optimal circular nesting. Fabric grain, print matching, foam properties, shrinkage and sewing construction remain supplied specifications.
All dimensions, product properties, prices and specifications in this example are illustrative arithmetic inputs. Use the values from your measured plan, selected product data sheet and supplier quote. This guide does not choose construction specifications or certify safety.
