Landscape materials.
Choose the actual material and supply form. Each sheet identifies what to measure, which product data to collect and a purchase assumption to check.
Bulk soil fill
Measure the internal fill space and deduct already occupied layers or objects.
Prepare this material →Soil blend components
Record the total intended blend volume and component proportions on one common basis.
Prepare this material →Mulch top-up material
Measure area and the additional depth required above the existing layer.
Prepare this material →Landscape sand
Measure the selected layer or void using the thickness already given in the plan.
Prepare this material →Gravel and aggregate
Separate the measured placed volume from the delivery quantity.
Prepare this material →Sod and turf rolls
Measure complete strip lengths and list narrow or irregular areas separately.
Prepare this material →Landscape edging pieces
Measure each continuous run, with supplied corner and connector details listed separately.
Prepare this material →Modular pavers
Measure the supplied pattern grid and distinguish full modules from edge pieces.

| Material | Selected product data | Ordering mistake to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Bulk soil fill | Bag volume or bulk supply volume, and density only when a mass order is needed. | Outer planter dimensions overstate the soil space; existing fill is not new demand. |
| Soil blend components | Specified volume fractions and each component's own package or bulk basis. | Volume percentages cannot be silently treated as mass percentages. |
| Mulch top-up material | Package volume or quoted loose volume and any supplied volume adjustment factor. | Charging the whole desired final layer as new mulch counts existing material again. |
| Landscape sand | Loose or placed volume basis, supplied bulk density and bag mass where relevant. | A tonne-to-volume conversion changes with bulk density and its moisture basis. |
| Gravel and aggregate | Supplier density and explicitly supplied loose-to-placed relationship. | Stone, gravel and aggregate names do not establish a universal density. |
| Sod and turf rolls | Roll width, usable length and any supplied trim allowance. | Net lawn area alone may not describe how whole strips cover the shape. |
| Landscape edging pieces | Useful length per piece, connector allowance and usable stock length. | Nominal piece length can overstate installed coverage where pieces overlap or join. |
| Modular pavers | Pieces of each type per module, module dimensions and separate pack counts. | Total area does not determine the mix of different paver types in a pattern. |
