Separate abrasive zones versus one pooled working area.
A partially used abrasive sheet may be stranded in one work zone. Pooling area assumes its remaining usable life can transfer to another zone.
Calculate two independent purchase scenarios
Prefilled values are illustrative. Replace measurements and product data on both sides. Quantities with different units or different products cannot be combined. Open a result in its calculator to save it to your material project.
A worked purchase comparison
Two 5 m² zones at an observed 2 m² per sheet need three sheets each when partly used sheets do not transfer. Six sheets bought in packs of five require two packs. Pooling the same 10 m² needs five sheets, or one pack, only if the same abrasive can be used across both zones.
Use your measurements and selected products
Use observed abrasive working area, measured wet filler yield and your selected protection roll dimensions. Consumption rates and overlaps are supplied inputs.
Abrasive Sheets for Separate Work Zones Calculator
Count abrasive sheets from your observed usable area per sheet and passes, keeping partially used sheets in separate work zones.
Rectangular Repair Patch Filler Cartridge Calculator
Add measured rectangular patch voids and convert wet fill volume to supplied cartridge yield. Does not approve a repair method.
Roller Sleeve Orders by Separate Finish Calculator
Budget consumable sleeves from a user-observed working area and keep incompatible finishes as separate packs.
Floor Protection Roll Cut Order Calculator
Cover measured rectangular work areas with continuous protective strips, explicit overlap and an optional supplied edge upturn.
What makes the comparison valid?
Observed sheet life is not a universal sanding rate. Do not pool different grit, material contamination or incompatible finishes.
Illustrative quantities above are not market prices or construction recommendations. Compare actual permitted scenarios independently and keep alternative orders separate.
