MATERIAL PREPARATION LIBRARY

Packing and delivery consumables.

Choose the actual material and supply form. Each sheet identifies what to measure, which product data to collect and a purchase assumption to check.

How these quantities differ

MaterialSelected product dataOrdering mistake to avoid
Carton sheet stockUsable sheet size, cutting gap and permitted grain direction.Assembled box surface area does not necessarily equal a complete flat carton pattern.
Pallet wrap filmUsable roll length and the explicitly supplied start and end turns.Axial height alone cannot describe the full film path around a load.
Carton sealing tapeRoll length and supplied end extensions. One carton length may omit separate cross strips or underside strips in the chosen pattern.
Corner protector stockUsable stock length and pieces per bundle.A bundle piece count differs from the number of cut protectors it can provide.
Packing void fillSpecified in-place fill density and bag mass.Loose bag density can differ from the supplied density of the material placed inside the void.
Printable label sheetsSheet dimensions, label dimensions and sheets per pack.Gross sheet area ignores margins that can remove an entire label row.
Shipping cartonsUnits per carton or usable inside dimensions on the selected packing basis.Outside carton dimensions overstate internal fit and do not indicate a safe shipping load.
Delivery palletsUsable pallet footprint and any quoted returnable deposit.A geometric fit count does not establish permissible stacking or pallet load.
Protective liner sheetingRoll or sheet dimensions and permitted orientation.Inside container area can omit the full one-piece blank needed for folds and returns.
Packing divider panelsSheet size, reserved cutting gap and the chosen divider count.Clear compartment width differs from the outside container dimension after divider thickness is deducted.
